Dhaksha Unmanned Systems addresses the growing demand for advanced UAS technology, providing cutting-edge solutions to handle socio-economic challenges and meeting evolving needs of the society.
Dhaksha took its conceptual flight in 2001 as an integral part of Anna University-MIT’s Centre for Aerospace Research (CASR). Named by the visionary Late Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, the ex-President of India, Dhaksha remained a part of CASR until 2019, undertaking pivotal government projects.
In April 2019, Dhaksha officially became an independent private limited company, founded by MIT alumni. With a 10-year technology partnership with Anna University (Chennai) until 2028, Dhaksha stands as an exclusive Strategic Partner of Anna University, driving R&D, manufacturing, and marketing of drones for the global market.
The state-of-the-art factory and R&D center situated at Ambattur, Chennai (India), serves as hub for innovation and excellence. Dhaksha has partnered with CASR-RPTO, a DGCA approved drone pilot training organization which imparts professional training to eligible candidates to meet the growing demand for UAV operators.
In a landmark move in July 2023, Coromandel International Ltd, a distinguished entity in the Murugappa Group, acquired major stake in Dhaksha, marking a new chapter in our journey of excellence and growth.
